Christmas at the Mayfield

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here and with lots of things going on to help you get in the mood.

Here are some lanterns made by Braehead Primary pupils and children from the Lantern Making Workshop with our lovely volunteer, Dani, in the library using donated jam jars (thanks Linda), pva glue and tissue paper.

The Tuesday Craft group made these pretty Christmas trees from cones, pipe cleaners and wool as well as the sweetie decorations to tie in with the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory display in the children’s section of the library. The group meets every Tuesday between 10.30 and 12.30 and is welcome to anyone who wants to come along.

Speaking of Christmas trees…

Here is our very own Jimmy, helping to put up the Christmas Tree at the St Ninians Toll thanks to local Councillors Gerry McLaughlan and Willie Ferguson.

We will soon be able to introduce some string lights to our Mayfield Secret Garden with thanks to a generous donation from local business owner, Frank Taylor. Watch this space!
